Where it leaves

The ferries leave from the maritime terminal on Calle 1 Sur at Quinta Avenida, on the beachfront. From Aldea Thai it is about a 20 minute walk by the building's figure, or 25 minutes (about 1.1 miles via Quinta Avenida) on Google Maps, measured 10 October 2026. The crossing takes about 45 minutes. Xcaret suggests arriving 30 minutes before departure, and earlier with checked luggage.

Ultramar

Buy an open ticket online, valid for six months, then assign a departure time on its reservations site. Questions go to its customer service on WhatsApp or email.

Winjet

Book through "Reserva Ahora" on its site: card online, card or cash at the ticket window. Its Playa office is on Calle 1a Sur, Local 3, Edificio Molcas, open Monday to Friday 08:30 to 18:30. On 10 October its timetable showed 14 departures from Playa between 08:00 and 22:00. Times change without notice, so check the live timetable.

Xcaret Xailing

Buy one way or round trip on Xcaret's site or at the Playa del Carmen terminal. Customer service answers daily from 07:00 to 22:00, Quintana Roo time.

Flying into Cozumel

Cozumel's airport (CZM) is on the island, so a flight there still needs the ferry to reach Playa. For most visitors Cancun is the simpler gateway.
